Landscape Architect: LAUD Studio, OKC, OK

Completed: 2020

Steve Patterson designed this multifunction wetland park for a local community group, and worked with them, the City of Eufaula, and the US Army Corps of Engineers throughout construction to insure its successful completion.

The project site was a small, occasionally somewhat soggy, 2.5-acre city park, located on property leased by the City of Eufaula from the Army Corps, 3/10ths of a mile from downtown Eufaula, and 3/10ths of a mile from Lake Eufaula.

The wetland treats urban stormwater runoff, provides wildlife habitat, and has created a wonderful opportunity for visitors to learn about wetlands, and a peaceful place to relax and observe nature.
